PHOTOGRAPHERS

This young Czech born in 1966 in Pribram, in the heart of Bohemia, was interested in images

at a very young age. Coming from a family of miners whose father worked for more than 40

years in the metal and then uranium mines of Pribram, she surveyed the land of her

neighborhood early on to collect the traces left by industries. Her father offered her for her

14th birthday an Olympus pen F, a vertical half-format camera that a friend had brought him

from Germany. This is the device she still uses today to create her stories. At the age of

twenty, she marveled at the quality images from the Liberation newspaper that she

accumulated and which made her want to become a photographer in France. Whether it is her

series of sequence images or her split panoramas, there is no editing. She strives to think of

the order of the images when shooting like one arranges words in a sentence. She has been

part of the chamber 5 collective since May 2000.
